Reflection
Teaching tip
Ten minutes before the end of the lesson, ask everyone to reflect on the last 90 minutes or so.
Ask each student to write down three things they have learnt during the lesson.
Don’t be surprised if someone mentions something unconnected to learning English (for example where the toilets are located in the building!) In turn, ask everyone to tell the class what they have written. By sharing what they have learnt, students are reminded of the language used during the complete lesson.
It is often the unexpected words which are remembered!
